LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - DePauw's doubles team of Greer Mackie and Kayla Smith dropped the first set of their NCAA Division III quarterfinal match against the University of Chicago's Chrissy Hu and Kendra Higgins, but nearly came all the way back before dropping a third-set tiebreaker.
The Chicago duo won the first set, 6-1, before the Tigers evened
the match with a 6-4 second-set win. In the decisive third set, Hu
and Higgins won 7-6 and 13-11 in the tiebreaker.
Mackie and Smith finished the season with a 23-10 doubles record
and earned all-America honors.
