INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Sixteenth ranked Centre College, winner of the SCAC's NCAA automatic qualifier, and thirteenth ranked Trinity University were selected to represent the SCAC in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
Centre was chosen to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Tournament Championship on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.
The Centre Colonels (23-4) will play host to the Averett University Cougars (20-8) of the USA South Conference on Friday, March 6. That winner will play the winner of the Transylvania (21-5) and Guilford (21-5) winner on March 7 in Danville, Ky.
Trinity University was also chosen to host the first and second
rounds of the NCAA Tournament. They will host games on Thursday,
March 5 and Saturday March 7 in San Antonio, Texas.
The Trinity Tigers (23-4) will host Maryville (Tenn.) College
(20-6) of the Great South Athletic Conference on March 5. The
winner will play the University of Texas-Dallas (24-4) in San
Antonio on Saturday March 7.
