Oglethorpe Men; Southwestern Women Lead After Day One of SCAC Golf Championships

TUNICA, Miss. - The Oglethorpe University men fired a first-round 312 to take a five-shot lead over DePauw University and the Southwestern University women blazed out of the gate with a first-round 328 to take a 25-shot lead over DePauw on the first day of the 2009 SCAC Golf Championships being contest at Tunica National Golf Course.

Jonathan Alden of Trinity University fired a first-round 71 to take an early four-shot first-round lead in the individual men's standings. Men's Individual Scores

Southwestern University teammates Marisa Mauldin, the two-time SCAC defending Golfer-of-the-Year and Emily Bartholet both shot first-round scores of 77 to sit atop the women's individual leaderboard. Women's Individual Score
