Men's Soccer Recap (Week 7) - Trinity Remains Atop the Nation and SCAC

SUWANEE, Ga. - The Trinity University men find themselves once again in a comfortable position, ranked number one in the latest NSCAA national poll and at the top of the always tough to navigate Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

As the top-ranked team in the Central Region, Trinity (12-0-0) has won twelve straight and is riding a regular season win streak of 33 consecutive contests. The Tigers are riding another streak as well, having been unbeaten in 49 consecutive regular season contests. That streak dates to a November 6, 2005 loss at Centre.

Trinity, now 6-0 in conference play, will step out of the SCAC this weekend to host Wheaton (Ill.) College and St. Lawrence (N.Y.) University respectively.

In other SCAC soccer news, the conference had two teams move up in region rankings and has four teams total ranked regionally.

Centre College, coming off a perfect 2-0 conference weekend, is now fifth in the Central Region and looking to get back in the national rankings. The Colonels were ranked as high as 16 earlier in the year.

DePauw University has fought its way into ninth place in the Great Lakes Region and is currently riding the longest win streak in the conference (behind Trinity) at five games.

Colorado College, who stepped out of conference play this past weekend and split a pair of games, fell one spot in this week's West Region to number five.
