TOWSON, Md. - Centre College senior defender Kate Anderson and Trinity University junior midfielder Alex Leamy were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's Soccer Team, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America(CoSIDA).
Anderson earned a spot spot on the second-team, as she maintains a 3.96 grade point average (GPA) as a German & International Studies major. She started all 19 games and helped guide the Colonels to a berth in the 2008 NCAA Division III Playoffs.
Leamy, an Engineering Science major, earned third-team laurels after carrying a 3.98 GPA. She started 12 of 18 games while tallying four goals, five assists for 13 points and recorded two game-winning goals for the Tigers.
