EMMA HAGAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Overland Park, Kan., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, October 9 to Sunday, October 15. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 2)

Hagan opened her senior season with an undefeated weekend at Colorado College. Friday night, Hagan finished first in both of her individual events, taking the 200 free in a time of 1:58.43 and the 100 fly with a 58.36. She also led off the winning 200 free relay with a 24.49. On Saturday, she split a 54.30 on the winning 400 medley relay and led off the winning 400 free relay in 54.88. Individually, Hagan was first to the wall in the 200 fly with a time of 2:14.00. 

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Hannah Waddell of Centenary had a stellar weekend for the Ladies as she recorded five individual wins in a pair of dual meets against McMurry in Abilene, Texas. She claimed three individual wins on Friday, the first of her young career, as she won the 200 IM (2:21.00), 500 free (5:55.60), and 200 breast (2:33.85). Waddell continued to shine on Saturday as she claimed wins in the 400 IM (5:04.63) and 100 breast (1:12.36), and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay team in a time of 2:02.26. Sophomore Alexis Lee of Colorado College led the team in both meets this weekend against Trinity. On Friday, she was first in the 100 back (1:00.89) and second in the 200 IM (2:14.76). Lee was also the fastest lead off on the 200 medley relay with 28.79. On Saturday, she took the 200 back (2:14.20) for another win, and was second in the 400 IM (4:58.44). Sophomore Elise Samples of Southwestern earned first place in the 100 free with a time of 56.27 and the 200 IM in 2:18.93, and also won the 200 back. Samples was also part of the winning 400 free and 400 medley relay teams. Sophomore Caitlin Sauer of McMurry was instrumental in leading her squad in two close swim meets against Centenary over the weekend, posting the only individual event wins for the War Hawks on both days. Sauer won the 200 back on Friday and captured the 1000 free on Saturday. She was also on the winning 400 medley and 400 free relays.
