Jones had a huge all-around weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos went 2-0, posting a pair of double-doubles, including 12 points and 11 rebounds in a key SCAC win over Centenary last Saturday. Jones stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 13.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks-per-game while shooting 81.3% from the field.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore guard Braeden Board of Centenary scored a career-high 23 points in a tough four-point loss last Saturday at Austin College. Board connected on 69.2 percent of his shots and added two rebounds and one steal in the contest. Senior guard Scott Cunningham of Colorado College led the Tigers last week, averaging 15 points per game on 37.5 percent shooting. Cunningham also added 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Senior guard Jai Love of Dallas scored 25 points, including the game-winning basket in the final seconds to lead the Crusaders to a 74-73 win over Texas Lutheran last week. Love went a perfect 9-for-9 from the line and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win. Senior First year forward Kamden Ross of Schreiner averaged a double-double last week with 14.5 rebounds and 12.0 points as the Mountaineers split a pair of SCAC contests. Ross snagged a season-high nine offensive boards in a loss to St. Thomas on Saturday. Junior forward Zac Black of Southwestern led the Pirates with 14 points on 63.6 percent shooting in a 66-59 loss to Texas Lutheran last week. Black, making his first start of the season, also added eight rebounds, one block and one assist in the contest. Senior guard Christian Alaekwe of St. Thomas continued his stellar play in league action, averaging 20.0 points per game as the Celts split a pair of SCAC games last week. Alaekwe, who now leads the league in points per game in SCAC action, also chipped in with 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest last week. Senior guard Sebastian Andrade of Texas Lutheran led a short-handed Bulldogs squad to a 1-1 record last week playing out of position yet consistently cleaning the glass in both games (8.0 RPG) and pouring in 24 points in a loss to Dallas. Junior guard Kaleb Jenkins of Trinity led the Tigers to a pair of nine-point home wins in SCAC play over the weekend, moving into a tie for first place after defeating both St. Thomas and Colorado College. Jenkins averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists/game over the two victories, hitting 44.4% (8-of-18) from the field.
