Matthews had a huge week for Austin College as the 'Roos went 2-0 and clinched a spot in the SCAC Tournament with a win over Dallas, averaging 17.0 points and 14.0 rebounds-per-game while shooting a blistering 82.4 percent from the field and also adding 2.0 blocks-per-game. Matthews scored 17 in each game, leading the ‘Roos to a non-conference win earlier in the week against Arlington Baptist and pulled down a career-best 16 boards in the team's win over UD. Matthews’ efforts have lifted Austin College to its first three-game win streak since January 2022.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore guard TaNyjah Plumber of Centenary averaged 16.5 points per game last weekend in a pair of road contests at Texas Lutheran and Southwestern. She was 12-15 from the free throw line with 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Plumber has reached double figures 14 times this season. Junior center Zoe Tomlinson of Colorado College averaged a remarkable 24.5 points and 21.0 rebounds per game last weekend despite the Tigers posting an 0-2 record. Tomlinson posted her NCAA Division III leading 19th and 20th double-double of the season and her 26 rebounds against Schreiner on Friday night are tied for the third most in a single game in SCAC history and a Colorado College program record. Sophomore guard Brie Sosa of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to an SCAC split last week including an impressive 69-63 overtime win over Colorado College. Sosa averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game, highlighted by a 16 point, 11 rebounds double-double in the win over the CC Tigers. Junior guard Kailee Mulkey of Texas Lutheran finished with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting in addition to three rebounds and three assists despite not playing in the fourth quarter in a win over St. Thomas. With her performance, Mulkey eclipsed 800 points in her collegiate career and passed former teammate Morgan Rodriguez to move into 19th on the TLU all-time scoring list. For the week, Mulkey averaged 16.5 points without playing a fourth quarter all weekend as the Bulldogs went 2-0 and increased their win streak to six - the longest under head coach Troy Patterson. Sophomore guard Kylie Minter of Trinity led the Tigers to a pair of SCAC victories last week, including Sunday's win over Colorado College that clinched a share of the SCAC Regular Season Championship and the number one seed at the SCAC Tournament. Minter finished with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday's road win over Schreiner, adding four assists in the 63-58 win. She hit a three-pointer with 1:35 left to put Trinity up 57-53, then added two more free throws in the final minute to help seal the narrow win. Minter finished the weekend with 24 points and six steals in the win over Colorado College to help Trinity earn the series split. She hit 9-of-16 overall from the field, including 4-for-5 from three-point range on her way to the 24-point day.
