Getenet was firing on all cylinders last week, averaging 19.8 points, 1.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game to lead the ‘Roos to a 4-0 record. It marked the first time the 2019-20 season Austin College has strung together four-straight wins. He scored in double-figures in all four games, including three consecutive 20-plus point efforts with 20 against Howard Payne, 23 against Ozarks and 25 in the win over Hendrix. Getenet connected 82.4 percent from the charity stripe, knocking down 14-of-17 trips to the line and hit 57.4 percent from the field, including 44.0 percent from three.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Junior guard Calvin Williams IV of St. Thomas averaged 19.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game to help the Celts to a 3-0 mark last week. Williams IV put up 24 points and six rebounds in an 68-58 victory over East Texas Baptist, followed up with 15 points and seven rebounds in the win over Mary Hardin-Baylor and finished with 20 points and five rebounds against McMurry. Senior guard Tanner Brown of Trinity averaged 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to help the Tigers to a 2-0 mark last week. Brown scored 27 points and got eight boards in an 91-84 victory over Concordia and followed that performance up with 15 points and seven rebounds in the win over Hardin-Simmons. Sophomore guard Johny Olmsted of Dallas led the Crusaders to a split in a pair of non-conference contests last weekend, averaging 18.0 points per game. Olmsted had a career-night against Whitman pouring in 23 points and connecting on four three-pointers. Junior center Adrian Price of Colorado College averaged 13.5 points per game last week to lead the Tigers to a non-conference split in two contests. Price made 70.6 percent of his shots, 60.0 percent from the charity stripe and added 3.0 boards per game. Senior forward Seth Thomas of Centenary averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last week for the Gents. Thomas is averaging over 10 points-per-game for six consecutive games. He played 40 minutes in their lone win against Arlington Baptist with 22 points, shooting 63.6 percent on 7-of-11 from the field, including 50.0 percent (2-for-4) from beyond the arc. Junior forward Brock Luechtefeld of Southwestern led the Pirates last week, scoring in double figures twice. Luechtefeld averaged 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game while shooting 53.6 percent from the field. Sophomore guard Mason Wallace of Texas Lutheran was a key contributor for the Bulldogs, shooting 42.1 percent from the field and was 9-of-11 from the stripe, while averaging 15.3 points per night.
