Mari Prazak, Austin College, Defensive Player of the Week (Week 2)

MARI PRAZAK OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior libero from Fort Worth, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, February 26 through Sunday, February 28. 

Prazak had an outstanding weekend as Austin College went 2-0 against Texas Lutheran to even the 'Roos SCAC mark at 2-2. Prazak totaled 56 digs for an average of 7.00 per game, and also totaled five assists and three service aces over the weekend.

Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Senior defensive specialist Kaylyn Latin of St. Thomas averaged 5.14 digs per set to lead the Celts to a weekend sweep of Centenary in SCAC play. Sophomore libero Nadia Kern of Trinity posted a career-high 15 digs in Saturday's first match and tied for the team lead with 28 digs across both matches while playing only three rotations in each. Senior setter Isabelle Aragon-Menzel of Colorado College, in addition to dishing out 28 assists, led the Tigers averaging 14 digs per match in two matches at the University of Dallas. She had 13 assists and 15 digs in Saturday's first match when CC hit .304. In the second match, she produced 15 assists and 13 digs while leading the Tigers to a .344 hitting percentage. Sophomore libero Lexi Morris of Texas Lutheran collected 29 digs in two matches over the weekend. She recorded 14 digs in the four-set loss to Austin on Friday, and she had 15 digs in the four-set loss on Saturday.
