SCAC Women's Basketball Recap - Week Fourteen

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After the final week of regular season competition, the SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament seeding is officially set. 

Austin College (18-7, 11-3) took down the University of Dallas (8-17, 3-11) in Sherman, Texas while Schreiner University (12-12, 10-4) handed Trinity University (20-5, 11-3) a loss in Kerrville. The result was a shared regular season title for the 'Roos and Tigers. Trinity would go on to win a coin toss to be awarded the top seed in the conference tournament with Austin College being named the second seed. Schreiner will be the No. 3 seed. 

The rest of the bracket was decided after Texas Lutheran University (14-11, 10-4) handed Southwestern University (8-17, 5-9) a loss. TLU locked up the fourth seed and the Pirates sit at No. 5. The Bulldogs and Southwestern will meet again in the first round of the SCAC Tournament on Friday, Feb. 26 at 5 PM. 

The rest of the SCAC was busy with out-of-conference opponents. Dallas fell to Arlington Baptist earlier in the week. Sixth-seeded Centenary College (9-16, 3-11) beat Dallas Christian on Saturday and Austin College went on to defeat Rust on Sunday.
