MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Trinity University's women's basketball team broke back into the D3hoops.com Top 25 and currently sit at No. 24.
The Tigers hold a 20-4 overall record and an 11-2 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
The Tigers took down Colorado College with a final score of 74-46 before beating Centenary College with an 82-70 final to extend their win streak to four games.
The Tigers are currently leading the league in defensive points allowed (55.4), steals (13.2 per game), turnover margin (+6.79) and 3-point field goals made (7.3 per game). This season, Trinity has held opponents to just 34.2% shooting. Trinity's Monica Holguin leads the team in scoring and is currently fifth in the league with 13.4 points per game.
The Tigers have clinched a spot in the SCAC Tournament to be held in Shreveport, La. from Feb. 26-28. Trinity finishes out its regular season against Schreiner University on Feb. 20.
