Tigers Steady in D3hoops.com Top 25

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Despite not competing last week, Trinity University's women's basketball team held on to the 19th-ranked slot in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25

The Tigers sit atop the SCAC standings with a 7-1 record and are currently leading the league in defensive points allowed (54.1), steals (10.6 per game), blocked shots (5 per game) and 3-point field goals made (7.6 per game). This season, Trinity has held opponents to just 31% shooting.

Additionally, USA TODAY Sports has Trinity tied for the 24th spot in its women's basketball coaches' poll. The USA TODAY Sports committee of coaches is made up of nine head coaches at Division III institutions. All are members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

Trinity is back in action on December 21st against (2-6) McMurry University.
