Trinity Men 11th, Colorado College 12th, Dallas 18th at NCAA Cross Country Regionals

Led by sophomore Taylor Piske's 16th-place finish, Trinity University placed 11th at the 2014 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country South/Southeast Regional Saturday morning, which was contested at the Clara Bowl Course course on the campus of Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. The University of Dallas finished in 18th place. Meanwhile, at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country West Regional run at Bush's Pasture Park and hosted by Willamette University, Colorado College placed 12th behind a 23rd-place individual finish from SCAC Runner-of-the-Year Nick Hall. No SCAC team or individual earned a berth to the national meet.

Piske, who finished 16th with a time of 26:01.29, earned All-Region honors with his top 35 finish.

Rounding out Trinity's runners, sophomore Austin Brown finished 47th (27:04.49), freshman Michael Erickson finished 50th (27:09.41), freshman Jacob Hammond was 85th (27:53.39), freshman Daniel Henkes was 102nd (28:12.11), junior Chris Soto was 114th (28:33.64), senior Brandon Douglas was 126th (28:56.54).

The University of Dallas finished in 18th place. The Crusaders were led by junior Ryan McAnany who placed 37th among 201 individuals with a finishing time of 26:49.48.

Rounding out the remainder of Dallas' contingent, junior Javier Secaira placed 96th (28:06.51), sophomore Gabriel Marasigan finished 120th (28:44.00), junior Jack Grubner was 133rd (29:04.10) junior Zach Zendt finished 174th (30:51.20) and senior Michael Klem was 196th (33:10.55).

Austin College and Southwestern University both sent individual runners to the event, but did not have enough participants to score. Freshman Chris Burke was Austin College's lone represenative and he placed 72nd (27:38.32). For Southwestern, junior Alex Medrano finished 94th (28:05.18), sophomore Abraham Davenport was 175th (30:51.53), sophomore Kyle Bauernschmitt was 177th (30:58.35) and freshman Hector Aleman placed 194th (32:58.15).

Centenary College, Schreiner University and Texas Lutheran University did not compete in the regional competition.

SALEM, Ore. - Senior Nick Hall finished in 23rd place to lead Colorado College to a 12th-place team finish at the 2014 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country West Regional, hosted by Willamette University. West Regional Complete Results

With his top 35 finish, Hall earned All-Region honors for the fourth time in his prestigious career.

Rounding out the CC runners was sophomore Ryan Bing (42nd - 26:45.84), senior Sam English (77th - 27:33.14), sophomore Conor Terhune (78th - 27:33.19), junior Jacob Rothman (91st - 27:57.42), junior Tucker Hampson (100th - 28:17.42) and freshman Ethan Holland (116th - 29:32.27).

Colorado College was the only SCAC school that competed in the West Regional.
