Trinity Retains SCAC Presidents' Trophy; Fourth Straight All-Sports Award for the Tigers

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- After earning five of the eight spring sport championships contested on the final week of the 2014-15 academic year, Trinity University cruised to its fourth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Presidents' Trophy. It is the program's 15th all-sports title.

The Texas Tigers punctuated the 2014-15 sports season with victories in men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track & field, women's track & field and baseball to finish with 535 total points.

Trinity won 10 of the 18 championships that the SCAC sponsors - the eighth time in league history that one institution has won 10 or more team titles during one academic year. Trinity owns seven of those eight performances as the Tigers won 10 team championships in 1998-99, 2002-03 and 2003-04; 11 team championships in 2004-05; 13 team championships in 2013-14 and a SCAC Presidents' Trophy record 15 in 2012-13. DePauw University, with 10 team championships in 2005-06, is the only program other than Trinity to accomplish the feat.
