CADE KISER OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a senior from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Tuesday, March 28. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 6)
Kiser posted his second tournament win this season, firing a final round of 73 (+1) on Tuesday for a total of two under par to lead the Celts to their second consecutive team title at the Linda Lowrey Invitational. Kiser had seven pars and four birdies, including one on the 18th to secure the victory.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Christian Rodriguez of Southwestern led the Pirates at the Linda Lowrey Invitational, finishing with a two-day total of 146 (+2) and a tie for second on 70 competitor leaderboard. His first round 69 tied for the low round of the event. Senior Jake Sitterle of Schreiner had rounds of 75, 72 and 77 for a three-round total of 224 (+8) to finish tied for 33rd in the 80-player field at the Big Texan played at the Riverhill Country Club. Senior Chandler Otto of Texas Lutheran paced the Bulldogs with rounds of 80 and 78 for a score of 158 (+14) and a tie for 33rd. His final round 78 moved him 12 places up the leaderboard. Sophomores Karsten Paciotti and Jackson Lehner of Dallas led the pack for the Crusaders, both finishing even par in an eight-way tie for 13th, at the rain-shortened Wynlakes Intercollegiate.
