Softball Recap (Week 4) - Around the SCAC

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – This past weekend, nearly every contest was canceled with the exception of one contest due to inclement weather all weekend long in the Texas footprint.

Austin College
The 'Roos did not play this past weekend due to inclement weather canceling matchups against Westminster in Conway, Ark. Austin College will open conference play on Friday, March 6th against Texas Lutheran University.

Centenary College 
The Ladies did not play this past weekend. Centenary returns to action on Saturday, March 7th for conference play against Schreiner.

University of Dallas
The Crusaders did not play this past weekend. Dallas returns to action on Saturday, March 7th for conference play against Trinity.

Schreiner University
The Mountaineers did not play this past weekend. They will open up their season on Wednesday, March 4th, against Calumet College of St. Joseph in Kerrville. 

Southwestern University
The Pirates dropped a pair of games to 18th-ranked Houston-Victoria this past week as they would come from behind to take both games, 7-3 and 9-8. Stacy Rosengren led Southwestern at the plate, going 3-6 on the afternoon with two runs and three RBIs. Ally Holland went 2-4 with two runs. Alyssa Novander garnered the loss in game one and Cozette Palmer in game two. Palmer threw 11.1 innings, allowing 16 hits, nine runs, four earned, while walking 12 and striking out three. The Pirates next matchup against Calumet College of St. Joseph was canceled on Sunday due to weather. The Pirates return to action on Sunday, March 8th, as they take on Baldwin Wallace in Tucson, Ariz. 

Texas Lutheran University
The Bulldogs will take some time off and return to action on Monday, March 2nd as they battle Calumet College of St. Joseph before opening up conference play on Friday, March 6th against Austin College.

Trinity University
The Tigers did not play this weekend and return to action on Friday, March 6th as they take on Calumet College of St. Joseph before opening up conference play on Saturday, March 7th against Dallas.
