Texas Lutheran Moves Up Four Spots in Latest NFCA Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Texas Lutheran University softball team moved up four spots in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25, checking in at No. 19. FULL NFCA RANKINGS

The Bulldogs moved to 29-4 on the season and 19-0 in SCAC play, earning a three game sweep over the current No. 2 team in the SCAC, Southwestern University. Texas Lutheran rolled to 6-0, 9-2, and 5-0 wins to run their winning streak to 26 games. They have also won 30 straight SCAC games which is four games off of the SCAC record of 33 straight games set by DePauw University in 2008.

TLU has clinched the No. 1 seed at the SCAC Championship, coming up in less than two weeks at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas (OFFICIAL WEBSITE). The Bulldogs also clinched their second straight SCAC regular season championship.

Texas Lutheran can earn the SCAC win streak mark this upcoming weekend as they conclude their regular season with a four game series on the road against the Centenary College of Louisiana Ladies.
