LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference released the newest results for the #SCACTrending social media contest, with Texas Lutheran University earning another win.
The Bulldogs totaled 251 points over the week in route to their 12th win since the beginning of the contest in September 2014. The Colorado College Tigers switched spots with the University of Dallas Crusaders and took over the second spot by a close margin. The Crusaders dropped to third place this week with 106 points.
Southwestern made the biggest jump of the week, earning 102 points to move from eighth place last week into fourth. Centenary College remained in fifth place with 78 points, followed by Schreiner University with 69.
Trinity University posted 42 points this week to earn seventh place, while Austin College rounded out the rankings in eight place with 29 points.
Points in the #SCACTrending competition are tallied based on the usage of an institution-specific hashtag. Each time a hashtag is used on Twitter, the team will earn one point, while each usage on Instagram will earn two points. The points restart each week and are tallied based on a week beginning Monday and ending Sunday.
