LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Eight of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball squads competed in week four of the 2018-19 season.
Austin College handed Rhodes its first loss of the season on Sunday, 84-75. Senior forward Bryce Frank was stellar for the Roos', earning her fourth double-double performance of the season and of the week, contributing 31 points and 13 rebounds. Frank's 31 points are the most scored in a single game by any SCAC women's basketball player so far this season. In the same game, freshman guard Kacie West came off the bench to collect 28 points, the second-best single-game performance of the season. Two days earlier, the Roos' undefeated streak was broken in a 70-61 loss to Millsaps.
Centenary ended its week with its first victory of the season, putting up a 78-45 home win over Southeastern Baptist. Freshman guard Priya Ponia led the Ladies in the win with 16 points, including 12 from behind the arc while senior guards Jasmine Morris and Savanah Doty added double-digit point performances, posting 12 and 11 respectively. Junior forward Deunya Small secured 12 rebounds against the Chargers. Earlier in the week, the Ladies fell to Millsaps, 70-55.
