KAYLEA PATRIDGE OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior outfielder from Las Vegas, Nev., has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 13 through Sunday, February 19. SCAC Softball Release - Week 2

Patridge made history last weekend in the 2023 Warrior Spring Fling hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. In the Ladies' 20-7 five-inning win over Westminster (Mo.) on Saturday, she hit for the cycle as she went 5-5 with eight RBI. Her eight RBI sets a new SCAC mark for RBI in a single game in league history. She blasted a two-run homer in the first, singled to lead off the second, hit a bases-loaded, three-RBI double later in the second inning, a bases-loaded, three-RBI triple in the third, and a double in the fifth. Her five hits finished tied for second most in SCAC history for a single game. For the weekend in leading Centenary to a 2-2 record, Patridge finished with an impressive .636 batting average with six extra base hits, nine RBI, six runs scored and one walk. Patridge posted a remarkable 1.545 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore infielder Hailie Swiatkowski of Austin College had a blistering weekend at the plate as the 'Roos picked up their first win of the season, batting .857 (7-of-8) in two games with her first career home run and seven RBI. She also scored a pair of runs and had a .875 on-base percentage and a 1.286 slugging percentage in the team's doubleheader against Ozarks. First-year catcher Chloe Bennett of St. Thomas had an outstanding debut in her first weekend of college softball. She recorded five hits, posting a .385 batting average and collected her first career home run to help lift the Celts to a 4-2 win over non-conference foe UMHB. First-year infielder Kendall Lippold of Schreiner led the Mountaineers at the plate last week, batting .467 over the course of five games, going 7-for-15 with two home runs and six RBI. In addition, she walked twice and posted a .529 on-base percentage to go along with a .867 slugging percentage. Senior first baseman Laura Hernandez of Texas Lutheran started 2023 on the right note hitting a SCAC-high two home runs and driving in seven runs in the Bulldogs first four games of the season. Hernandez totaled five extra base hits on a .545 average over the course of the week and was key in the Bulldogs win over Division-II St. Mary's driving in two runs.
