The Bulldogs came out strong to open the game, scoring a run in the top of the first to take the early lead.  The Tigers rallied to tie the game in the second, then took the lead with another single run in the third.  In the fourth inning, Trinity blew the game open with a five-run inning that was highlighted by a two-run homer by Jules Cronk.

Tiger reliever Nick Griffith came on in the third inning, finishing off the game to earn his second win of the season.  Griffith threw 6.2 shutout innings in relief, giving up just four hits to a Texas Lutheran team that was enjoying an outstanding offensive tournament.

Tony Gennusa and Von Wendell accounted for five of Texas Lutheran's nine total hits.  Gennusa was 3-4 with a run scored, while Wendell was 2-4 with one RBI.  Kellen McGriff allowed five runs on seven hits over three innings, and was charged with the loss.

For the Tigers, Carter McEachern went 4-5 with two runs and two RBI to lead an offensive attack that rapped 16 hits.  McEachern hit a solo home run in the seventh, and also had a double.  Christian Muscarello was 3-5, while Cronk went 2-4 with three RBI.  Pat Hirschberg and Austin Singer picked up two hits and two runs each in the game.

Trinity receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs with the victory, and the Tigers were 3-0 in the tournament this weekend.
