TAYLOR HENRY OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior left handed pitcher from Bossier City, La., has been selected the SCAC Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, April 19th.

Henry logged a 1-0 record with a save in his two outings this weekend against Southwestern University. His save in the opener of the series gives him eight on the season while the win, which clinched the series, was his third on the campaign.

Henry combined for 15 strikeouts in the two affairs, including 13 Ks in the series clincher - his second, double-digit strikeout effort of the season. He allowed just one run in 10 innings of work for a ERA of 0.90.

On the season, Henry ranks first in the SCAC in strikeouts with 71, is second in ERA with a 1.50 and second in saves with 8.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Brett Moody of Austin College was sensational in a 2-1 victory over Dallas, tossing a complete game while scattering just four hits and one run. Moody struck out eight batters while walking none, and needed just 95 pitches to go the distance for the victory. Sophomore pitcher Ryan Hammonds of Dallas took the bump in a 9-4 victory at Austin College. The right-hander allowed two runs (one earned) matching a season-low and tied the fewest earned when tossing at least seven innings for the third time this campaign. He walked two and struck out five. Freshman pitcher Collin Buckley of Southwestern made two appearances, pitching four innings without allowing a run and scattering three hits. Senior pitcher Trent Rape of Trinity threw six shutout innings to finish off Trinity's weekend sweep of Schreiner on Sunday afternoon, allowing just three hits and striking out five batters.
