MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Tiger senior Hailey Coleman was named the D3hoops.com Region 10 Player of the Year, while Head Coach Cameron Hill was selected as the Regional Coach of the Year.
Coleman, who was earlier voted as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, led the Tigers in rebounding, blocked shots, and field goal percentage this season. She connected on 60.3% of her shots this year, which is the fifth-best shooting percentage in school history for a single season. Coleman also tied for fifth in Trinity single season history with her 53 blocks this year.
For her career, Coleman ranks in the top 25 in school history in career points, rebounds, blocks, and field goals made. Additionally, she broke the Trinity career record for field goal percentage. She is a two-time All-Region selection by D3hoops.com, as well as a three-time All-SCAC honoree. This season marked her first time as a First Team All-Region player and her second on the All-SCAC First Team.
Coach Hill has led the Tigers to more than 220 wins in his 10 seasons at the helm of the program, leading Trinity to six SCAC Championships and six appearances in the NCAA Playoffs. He led this year's Tiger team to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in his career and for the first time since the 2002-03 season. Trinity finished the season with a 28-3 overall mark, tying the school record for victories (2002-03 and 2016-17) and shattering the previous school record with 27 consecutive wins.
