LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - In a battle of unbeaten league teams, Trinity University protected its home court with a 95-82 victory over Austin College Saturday in San Antonio as most SCAC teams hit the halfway point of conference play.
Senior guard Micah Weaver posted a school single-game record-tying 42 points as the 15th-ranked Tigers improved to 6-0 in SCAC play (13-2 overall). Trinity had defeated Centenary, 78-66, the previous evening.
Colorado College (4-3 SCAC; 7-11 overall) moved into third place in the standings after a pair of home victories over Southwestern (71-69) and Texas Lutheran (84-77). The victory over TLU was the first for the CC women since the Bulldogs joined the league in 2013-14 and the weekend conference sweep was just the third for the program since the 2012-13 season.
