SHERMAN, Texas - With her 15-point performance Friday night at Austin College, Centre College senior guard Maggie Prewitt cracked the league's top 10 list for career scoring in women's basketball.
The Colonels overcame a two-point halftime deficit to defeat the Kangaroos, 78-54, and improve to 16-1 overall; 10-0 in the SCAC.
A preseason All-American, Prewitt is currently second in the league in scoring (17.1 ppg) and is just the 12th player in SCAC women's basketball history to score 1,500+ career points.
After Friday night, Prewitt has 1,568 career points - good for 10th all-time (see chart below).
