LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - League play continued for six of the seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference softball teams this week.
Texas Lutheran University continued its dominance this week, going 6-0 against their competition, including a 4-0 mark in SCAC action. The Bulldogs moved to 20-4 for the season, and marked their 20th consecutive win Sunday.
TLU pitcher Maitlin Raycroft continued to shine, recording a perfect outing Tuesday night to tie the NCAA Division III single-season no-hitter record, before closing out the series against Austin College with her sixth no-no of the season, setting a new record. Centenary College swept Trinity University in their series over the weekend. The four-game stretch begin with an extra inning battle, but a pair of runs in the top of the 10th for the Ladies proved to be the difference.
Schreiner University went 5-1 for the week, sweeping a doubleheader against NCAA Division II University of Texas - Permian Basin on Monday, before going 3-1 in the road series against the University of Dallas.
