LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released the latest national rankings Wednesday and Texas Lutheran University continued its climb.
Texas Lutheran moved up two spots to No. 8 in the NFCA poll, accumulating 135 points. This is the team's highest ranking this season since they were tabbed No. 7 in the NFCA's preseason poll.
The Bulldogs clinched the conference's regular season title with a 4-0 week against Trinity University. Texas Lutheran closed out the regular season with a 34-4 record, including a perfect 22-0 in conference play.
The team has been on a 34-game winning streak and has not lost a game in more than two months.
Texas Lutheran will host the 2017 SCAC Softball Championship tournament from April 28-30 and will be the top seed at the event.
