LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Texas Lutheran University junior right-hander Maitlin Raycroft was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Second Team.

Raycroft was an At-Large selection on the All-America Second Team.

Raycroft, the 2017 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher and Newcomer of the Year, joins three other TLU players to make a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Team.

Raycroft advanced to the All-America ballot after receiving First Team All-Region honors.

Raycroft, the new national record-holder for no-hitters tossed in a season, finished the year with a record of 21-3. She hurled eight no-hitters (including one perfect game) and set the new school mark for wins, at 21.

Raycroft currently leads all of NCAA Division III in shutouts, with 14 (another school record), and she ranks fourth in strikeouts per seven innings and fourth in hits allowed per seven innings.

Raycroft finished the year with a school-record 219 strikeouts in 140-2/3 innings. She walked only 28, and opponents hit just .128 against her. Her final ERA was 1.29.

The Bulldogs of 2017 went 38-6 and posted a school-record 38-game win streak. The team won its fourth consecutive SCAC regular-season title and its fourth straight SCAC tournament crown.

TLU qualified for a fourth consecutive NCAA Division III Softball Championship and finished as the Tyler Regional Tournament runner-up for a third time in four seasons.

The NFCA Division III All-America softball teams are selected from the pool of players who earned first team All-Region recognition by eight NCAA Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.
