LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Most Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference softball teams began their spring break competition, while two continued their conference schedule.
Texas Lutheran University continued a dominant streak, extending their winning streak to 14 games with six more wins last week. The Bulldogs earned a pair of conference wins on Monday afte the contests were postponed due to weather, then followed that up with four wins against Indiana Tech.
TLU junior Maitlin Raycroft posted her fourth no-hitter in five games last week, and is now just one short of tying the all-time NCAA Division III single season record.
Southwestern University went undefeated during their spring break trip in Florida, defeating Oswego State, Anderson (Ind.), Endicott and Fitchburg State. The University of Dallas also traveled to the Sunshine State, going 3-1 with wins against FDU_Florham, Scranton and Susquehanna.
Trinity University also had a good week, going 6-2. The Tigers earned a pair of wins over Indiana Tech to begin the week, following that up with four more victories in Arizona.
Austin College and Centenary College were the only teams to compete in conference action over the St. Patrick's Day weekend, with the Ladies earning a 3-1 series win over the 'Roos.
