JACKSON, Miss. - With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the football Majors are doing their part to raise awareness by sporting pink ribbons on the back of their helmets for tomorrow's Homecoming game against No. 25 Centre College.

The athletic training department has also joined in for the weekend by dressing student-athletes with pink pre-wrap for the sports of soccer and football. Volleyball also sported pink tie-dyed t-shirts in its 3-0 road win at Mississippi College on Tuesday as part of the nationally recognized "Dig Pink" campaign.

Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer diagnosed in women, but despite this fact, a full proof cure has eluded scientists so far. To learn more about how you can get involved in the fight for a cure, simply visit www.komen.org.
