Colorado College's Hall; Trinity's Murphy Earn SCAC Runner-of-the-Week Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Colorado College junior Nick Hall and Trinity University senior Maddie Murphy have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male and Female Runners-of-the-Week, respectively, for Week Six of the 2013 SCAC Cross Country season. 

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Saturday, October 6

NICK HALL OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Northbrook, Ill., has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 6.

Hall ran in the Willamette University Invitational this past Saturday, where, in a field of 16 schools which included a mix of NCAA Division II and Division III schools and 150 plus runners. He finished seventh with a season-best time of 25:02, which also now leads the SCAC for the 8K. The time posted by Hall was the top time among all Division III runners in the West Region that were at this meet.

RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Saturday, October 6

MADDIE MURPHY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Friendswood, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 6. 

Murphy led Trinity's women's cross country team to a victory at the Hanover Pre-Nationals Meet on Saturday afternoon. Murphy finished fourth in a time of 22:24.39 in the 6K race, leading the ninth-ranked Tigers to 44 points and the win among a field of 18 total teams.
