The Mountaineers sit at +6 (582) as a team while 22nd-ranked Trinity University is at +15 (591), and 15th-ranked Southwestern University is in third place at +20 (596).

In fourth place is Centenary College at +24 (600), Texas Lutheran University is next at +32 (608), and University of Dallas rounds out the field at +183 (759).

Schreiner junior Zach Oliver (pictured above) fired back-to-back rounds of 70 and sits atop the individual leaderboard at 4 under par. His second round 70 tied the conference record for the lowest second round score since the SCAC went to a 54-hole format in 2008.

Trinity senior Tyler Lehmann is in second place, two shots behind Oliver with a two-round total of 142 (-2).

When the players teed off Monday morning, it was overcast with a light mist. But by the times the players began their second 18-hole round, the sun had come out, sending both tempatures and scores soaring.

Of the 30 men's players in the field, only 10 had a lower second round than first round score and the average strokes per round increased by almost two shots (78.6 to 80.4) per player.

Junior Hank Strickler of Centenary is the only other men's player under par with a two-round score of 143 (-1). Senior Kraig Zimmerhanzel of Texas Lutheran and freshman James Grachos of Southwestern round out the top five on the individual leaderboard as both shot a 1 over par score of 145.

Grachos and teammate junior Jordan Cowart both fired an opening-round 69 to share the 18-hole lead. It was just the 11th and 12th sub-70 rounds in the 23-year history of the SCAC men's golf tournament.
