LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior attackman Austin Fox of Southwestern and junior midfielder Sayre Thomas of Colorado College have been named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Players-of-the-Week for their performances the past two weeks.

AUSTIN FOX OF
SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior attackman from
Round Rock, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Saturday,
February 8th through Sunday, February 16th.
Fox scored seven goals on 14 shots (.500 shot
percentage) to lead the way offensively for Southwestern as they
went 2-0 in the last two weeks.
He added in one assist for eight points. Nine of his shots were on
goal for a .643 shots on goal percentage.
Fox started his season with a bang, scoring five
goals against Hendrix in an opening day 10-3 victory. He followed
that up with a two goal, one assist effort in a come-from-behind
win over Rhodes. He had both game winners and added one ground ball
and one caused turnover.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman attackman
Stephen Petersilge of Colorado College struck for five goals
and added a pair of assists during his first two collegiate games.
In his collegiate debut, a 16-4 victory at Birmingham-Southern
College, Petersilge scored four goals and set up another to pace
the CC attack. Centenary was idle.

SAYRE THOMAS
OF COLROADO COLLEGE, a junior midfielder from
Boise, Idaho, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Saturday,
February 8th through Sunday, February 16th.
Thomas won 33 of 43 faceoffs and picked up 22
ground balls during Colorado College’s two games last
week.
During Friday’s 16-4 victory at Birmingham-Southern College,
Thomas tied his career high with 12 ground balls
and won 16 faceoffs out of 19 attempts. He also scored two goals
and set up one other.
In Sunday’s 14-10 loss to Sewanee, Thomas
recorded 10 ground balls and set a career-high by winning 17
faceoffs.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Ross
Warkentin of Southwestern had a team high nine ground balls
and seven caused turnovers while committing just two turnovers in a
pair of come-from-behind victories over Hendrix and Rhodes. Centenary was
idle.
