    SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference had seven women's teams and three men's teams earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) honors for the 2010-11 academic year. A total of 35 female and 27 male student-athletes from the conference were also named Division III Scholar-Athletes.

  • Trinity's 2008 Championship Game Rally Selected Top SCAC Baseball Moment

    SUWANEE, Ga. - At the 2008 SCAC Championship, Millsaps College stood poised to become just the third baseball team in league history to win two games on championship Sunday and come out of the loser's bracket to earn a conference title. Millsaps, who had forced the "if necessary" contest by defeating Trinity University, 10-5, in Sunday's first game, was leading game two 5-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth. The Majors were just three outs away from their seventh conference baseball title and a berth in the NCAA tournament.

    CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) placed a nation-high 13 individuals on the 2010-2011 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholars Team. A total of 566 women’s collegiate golfers from Divisions I, II and III were recognized with this prestigious honor.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - The SCAC had sponsored women's softball as an official conference sport since 1999, and, beginning in 2000, its champion had received an automatic berth into the NCAA championships. From 2000 to 2006, SCAC softball teams had limited success in NCAA postseason play, sporting a mark of 5-14 in regional play. But in 2007, a freshman pitcher from Carmel, Ind., would help change all that.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,109 student-athletes to the 2011 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Thursday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 1,077 student-athletes.

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University track and field's Zach Brush has been awarded a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Brush, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity in engineering science on May 14, graduated cum laude (with honors). He finished with a 3.70 grade point average.

The announcement was made Friday by Southwestern University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Glada Munt. Duncan comes to SU after serving as the head swimming coach at Rhodes College.
