Dallas' Marasigan and Myers Earn SCAC Runner-of-the-Week Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – University of Dallas runners Gabriel Marasigan and Clare Myers have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male and Female Runners-of-the-Week, respectively, for Week Five of the 2013 SCAC Cross Country season.

Meets through Saturday, September 28

GABRIEL MARASIGAN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a freshman from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, September 28.

Marasigan competed in the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on Saturday in Abilene, Texas, where the field was comprised of both Division II and III teams. After a four-hour rain delay, Marasigan posted a time of 25:11 on the four-mile course to finish 13th overall, and led the Crusaders to a fourth-place finish on the difficult and muddy course.

CLARE MYERS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior from Grosse Pointe, Mich., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, September 28.

Myers competed in the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on Saturday in Abilene, Texas, where she finished fourth overall in a field comprised of both Division II and III teams. After a four-hour rain delay, Myers’ fourth-place finish led the University of Dallas to a second-place team finish, falling short of first by just 13 points to Division II Angelo State.
