LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Eight of the league's nine women's track and field teams were in action this past week, including Schreiner, Southwestern, St. Thomas, Texas Lutheran and Trinity at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Among the highlights, Trinity's Emma Pool won the pole vault competition by clearening 3.30 meters and Texas Lutheran's Tia Hart placed second in the javelin with a heave of 34.19 meters. Other strong performances in the field came from Trinity's Jordyn White, who was sixth in the triple jump with a bound of 10.76 meters and seventh in the long jump with a leap of 5.58 meters. Her teammate Kierra Francois was eighth in the hammer with a throw of 41.75 meters. Southwestern's Tiamara Hill-Johnson was eighth in the discus with a toss of 38.87 meters and her teammate Erin Toro finished 10th in the shot put with a toss of 11.28 meters.

On the track, Trinity's Ellie Catron produced 10th place finishes in both the 800 meters (2:23.26) and 1,500 meters (4:51.35). Other Tigers who produced top SCAC results included Jordan Juran, who placed fourth in the 5,000 meters (18:25.25), Avery Puig, was 11th in the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.47) and Jordyn White who finished 20th in the 100 meter hurdles (15.67). TLU's Jacqueline Mora finished 17th in the 100 meters in 12.91 and 22nd in the 200 meters with a run of 25.84, and Southwestern's Erica Robuck finished eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.53.

Southwestern's 4x100 relay team, comprised of Keamber McCracken, Lauren Mackrell, Erin Kelley and Dejahnae Thompson, finished third with a time of 52.60.

Austin College and Dallas both competed at the Texas A&M-Commerce Invitational. Austin College was led by Aimee Landers-Wilburn, who finished third in the 1,500 meters with a run of 5:05.26 (second fastest in program history) and sixth in the 5,000 meters in a time of 19:48.64. Dallas got points from Grace Ebberwein who finished fourth in the 10,000 meters (43:11.87).

Colorado College competed at the Colorado Mesa Invite where the foursome of Kalyanne Neel, April Kwan, Kate Odom and Isabella Lutes produced the squad's best finish by placing third in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 53.80 seconds.

Next weekend, Dallas and Centenary will compete at thed McMurry War Hawk Challenge and Texas Lutheran and Trinity will be at the Texas A&M-Kingsville Cactus Cup. Centenary finishes up its regular season at the Belhaven Invitational.
