LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- In a light week of competition, two conference teams were in action with both the Texas Lutheran and Trinity women competing at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo, Texas.

Among the highlights, Texas Lutheran's Lydia Lyssy and Caeli Taylor each posted Top 10 finishes.

Lyssy made the discus finals and took seventh overall with a toss of 36.46 meters. She was the top scoring athlete in the discus from NCAA Division III. Taylor ran in the 1,500 finals and took eighth overall with a time of 4:58.32. She set a personal best in the event and was the top (and only) NCAA DIII student-athlete to race in the final.

Trinity's Merriam Scafide and Makenna Bentley finished tied for third in the high jump, with both clearing 1.52 meters. Bailey Dueitt was second in the pole vault at 3.15 meters and teammate Emma Pool tied for third by clearning 3.00 meters.

Both squads, along with Schreiner, Southwestern and St. Thomas, will be back in action next Friday and Saturday in San Antonio at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational. On those same days, Colorado College will compete at the Colorado Mesa Invite while Austin College and Dallas will travel to Commerce, Texas for Saturday's Texas A&M-Commerce Invite.
