LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference outdoor track & field teams were back in action last week, as Austin, Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran traveled to compete in the Hardin-Simmons Invitational. 

Texas Lutheran women finished fifth in the Hardin-Simmons invite. First-year Jackie Mora won the won the women’s 200 with a time of 26.46. Mora then finished third in the 100 with a time of 12.78. The Bulldogs 4x100 meter team finished second with a time of 50.98. Ashley Adams and Felicia Oritz claimed the second and third in the women’s   400 hurdles. Tia Hart was third in the javelin after a throw of 108-05. 

Schreiner’s Sarah Enders led the way for the Mountaineers, finishing fifth of eight runners in the 5000-meter run, with a time of 21:37.79. Kendall Lee placed 21st in the women’s 100 meter with a time of 14.02, followed by a 25th place finish in the 200-meter dash. Mikayla Farber placed ninth in the long jump after a 4.59m jump. 

Austin College’s Aimee Landers-Wilburn led the way for the ‘Roos. The first-year finished ninth in the 1500 meter run, coming in with a time of 5:17.15. Landers-Wilburn also finished 11th in the 800-meter finishing in 2:36.83. 

The second week of SCAC Track & Field continues seeing five teams on the schedule as Trinity hosts Schreiner, Southwestern, St. Thomas, and Texas Lutheran for the Trinity Invitational.
