BRYCE FRANK OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a sophomore forward from Granbury, Texas has been named the SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, February 12th.
Frank was dominant for Austin College all weekend as the 'Roos went 1-1, topping Schreiner and narrowly losing to No. 12 Trinity University.
Frank averaged 16.0 points and 18.0 rebounds, shooting 54.2% from the field in the two games.
In the matchup with Trinity, Frank recorded 14 points and 16 rebounds. She followed that up with 18 points and 20 rebounds against Schreiner. The 20 rebound performance ties one other player for the most this season.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Madison Edwards of Southwestern University averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as the Pirates went 2-0. Senior forward Kristen Lye of Texas Lutheran University averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in just 19 minutes per game during the Bulldogs two wins last weekend. Senior guard Grace Horn of Trinity University led the Tigers to a road weekend sweep in SCAC play, averaging 8.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
