Bryce Frank, Austin College, Player of the Week (Week One)

BRYCE FRANK OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a sophomore forward from Granbury, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, November 20th. 

Frank had a huge opening week of the season, averaging 19.3 pointsand 9.7 rebounds over three games, while shooting 68.4% from the field as the 'Roos went 2-1.

Frank also averaged 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game and scored at the buzzer to lift Austin College to a 62-60 win over Millsaps College. During that performance, Frank recorded a double-double, with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard Sammi Tso of the University of Dallas led the Crusaders to a 1-1 record last week, including a win over Fontbonne where she recorded a career-high 20 points. Junior forward Micah Weaver of Trinity University came off the bench with two solid performances for the Tigers, averagin 13.5 points on 80% shooting, while also grabbing 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. Sophomore forward Tori Carraway of Southwestern University average 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game over the week, while also adding four steals and a pair of blocks. Senior forward Kristen Lyeof Texas Lutheran University averaged 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, in the Bulldogs' 1-1 start to the season. Lye also added fourrebounds and a pair of steals. Sophomore guard Jasmine Morris of Centenary College led the conference with 19.7 points per game through the first week, while adding 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
