Cierra Jordan, Texas Lutheran University, Player of the Week (Week Seven)

CIERRA JORDAN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Llano, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, January 8th. 

Jordan helped the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to a pair of conference wins over the weekend, defeating Colorado College and the University of Dallas on the road.

Jordan scored a career-high 21 points in the win over CC and then backed that performance up with a 19-point game in against Dallas. Jordan averaged 20 points and shot 57.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the three-point line. She also averaged eight rebounds, four steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 assists per game.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Kendall Heitmeier of Austin College had a strong weekend for the 'Roos, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, including posting a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards in a win over Schreiner. Junior forward Michelle DeCoud of the University of Dallas broke double-digits in scoring all three contests this past week, including her
19 point-performance in a non-conference game against Hendrix. Junior guard Olivia Podaras of Southwestern University averaged a team high 19.0 points per game and was second on the team with 6.5 rebounds per game as the Pirates opened SCAC action with two wins. Senior guard Elizabeth Balido of Trinity University propelled the Tigers to 2-0 week, averagin 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game against Austin College and Centenary.
