MICAH WEAVER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Poth, Texas has been named the SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, January 22nd.
Weaver helped the Tigers to a 2-0 record last week, defeating Colorado College and the University of Dallas on the road.
Weaver averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals between the two games, including career-highs of five assists and six steals in the 76-61 win over the Crusaders.
Weaver earned SCAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Senior forward Kendall Heitmeier of Austin College scored 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds in an overtime loss to TLU before scoring 20 points with four made three pointers in a big win over Southwestern. Sophomore guard Jasmie Morris of Centenary College averaged 19.3 points per game and 9.3 free throws as she helped the Ladies knock off Dallas Christian. Senior guard Codi Simmons of Schreiner University helped the Mountaineers to a 2-0 week on the road, averaging 12.5 points on 76.9% shooting during the road trip. Sophomore forward Madison Edwards of Southwestern University averaged 14.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game during a 2-1 week for the Pirates. Senior forward Kristen Lye of Texas Lutheran University averaged a double-double with 13.7 points and 12.0 rebounds per game in the Bulldogs' 2-1 week.
