SAVANNAH HIGHT OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from San Antonio, Texas has been named the SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, January 15th. 

Hight scored 28 points, dished out five assists, grabbed four rebounds and collected four steals to lead the Bulldogs to a win over previously unbeaten and nationally ranked Trinity University.

In the game, Hight went 15-of-15 from the charity stripe, tying the second-best 100% performance in SCAC women's basketball history.

In a home win over Schreiner, Hight added 12 points on 50.0% shooting, seven rebounds, four steals and a block.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Kendall Heitmeier of Austin College had a big week for Austin College as the 'Roos went 2-0 to improve to 12-4 overall, averaging 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 46.2% from three point range for the weekend. Sophomore guard Jasmie Morris of Centenary College had an excellent week, beginning with a career-high 29 on 8-15 shooting in the Ladies first conference win of the season. She followed that up the next night with 24 points. Junior forward Michelle DeCoud of the University of Dallas averaged 23 points in two contests with a double-double recorded in each, highlighted by a career high in points (34) and field goals (13) Saturday. Junior guard Jordyn Villa of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 1-1 week with 31 points against Southwestern to earn an 89-82 overtime win. Freshman center Cecily Woolfolk of Southwestern University averaged 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and a pair of blocks over two conference games last week. Senior guard Monica Holguin of Trinity University averaged 15.5 points/game over two games, hitting 9-21 (42.9%) from the field and 11-12 (91.7%) from the foul line while also averaging 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 4.0 steals
