LINDSEY LONGUET OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman pitcher from Missouri City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 17th through Sunday, April 23rd.
Longuet went 1-1 on the week to help the Pirates take a 3-1 series victory over Trinity in the final weekend of the 2017 regular season.
Longuet hurled complete games in both outings, pitching 14.0 innings while allowing six hits and just one earned run to post 0.50 ERA for the week. She struck out 11 and walked four on the weekend, which included a complete game, three-hit shutout in Sunday's 1-0 victory over the visiting Tigers.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior pitcher Katie Glomb of Trinity was 1-1 with a 2.15 ERA last week, including a tournament-clinching 1-0 win over Southwestern on Saturday afternoon. Glomb tossed a complete-game shutout in game two of the series-opening doubleheader, which solidified Trinity's spot in the SCAC Tournament.
