TORI HERRERA OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a senior pitcher from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 16th. She is joined by Texas Lutheran University's Maitlin Raycroft as Co-Pitchers of the Week.

Herrera threw her second career no-hitter in a victory over Brooklyn College, striking out 13 of the 16 batters she faced and throwing strikes on 50 of 57 pitches in a dominant win.

Herrera's no-hitter is just the third in program history, and with her 13 strikeouts in the game she also broke her own Austin College single season strikeout record.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman pitcher Lindsey Longuet of Southwestern University helped the Pirates to three wins against Schreiner University, posting two complete game wins, and coming on in relief. Through the three appearances, Longuet totaled 14.0 innings, recording 16 strikeouts and allowing two earned runs. Junior pitcher Maitlin Raycroft of Texas Lutheran University added to her NCAA Division III record for no-hitters in a single season by tossing her eighth Friday in a 7-0 road win against Trinity. She came back Saturday and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. For the week, she allowed just three hits, struck out 20 and finished with an ERA of 1.00. Opposing batters hit just .067 against her.
