MAITLIN RAYCROFT OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior pitcher from Spring, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 2nd. This is Raycroft's sixth Pitcher of the Week award this season and her fifth consecutive.

Raycroft won four times last week and helped TLU to a 6-0 record that included a four-game conference road sweep of Centenary.

She started the week with a five-hit shutout of Hardin-Simmons and ended it with a one-hit shutout of Centenary. In between, Raycroft picked up a win in relief against Centenary and then pitched 6.2 in another win against the Ladies.

In total, she allowed just two earned runs in 22.2 innings. She struck out 39 batters and walked only three. Her ERA for the week was 0.62. Opponents hit just .105 against her for the week.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman pitcher Hannah Ortiz of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 4-0 week, posting four complete-game wins on the mound, striking out 10 and recording a 3.50 ERA. Freshman pitcher Lindsey Longuet of Southwestern University went 2-0 on the weekend, throwing 11.0 innings and allowing eight hits and two earned runs while striking out 11.
