DePauw widens lead for sixth consecutive President's Trophy

SUWANEE, Ga. - Seeking its sixth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) President's Trophy, DePauw University has widened its lead following the completion of the 2011 winter sports season.

DePauw posted two first-place and two second-place finishes during the winter season and extended its all-sports trophy lead from 37.5 to 80 points. The Indiana Tigers picked up conference championships in the sports of men's swimming and diving and women's basketball to go along with their football title earned from the fall season.

DePauw currently owns an 80-point lead (462.5 to 382.5 points) over the duo of Centre College and Trinity University, who are tied for second place.

Centre, who was in second place alone following the fall sports season, won the men's basketball championship and Trinity won the women's swimming and diving championship. Trinity was tied for third prior to the beginning of the winter sports season.
