SUWANEE, Ga. - Three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball student-athletes were named to the 2010-11 Capital One Academic All-District® women's basketball teams. Rhodes College junior Sharwil Bell was the only first-team selection.
Bell highlighted the SCAC's selections as she was named a District IV first-team selection. The junior carries a 3.97 grade point average (GPA) as a pre-med major.
Joining Bell on the Academic All-District teams are Trinity senior Danielle Hubenak and junior teammate Abby Dietert.
Hubenak was a District VI third-team selection where she maintains a GPA of 3.55 as an accounting major.
Dietert was also a third-team District VI selection. She carries a 3.34 GPA as a psychology major.
As a first-team selection, Bell now advances to the national Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where First, Second and Third Team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
