Trinity's Paulus, Mason Named SCAC Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Senior runner Will Paulus and freshman field athlete Steven Mason of Trinity University has been named SCAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week after impressive performances this past weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC TRACK ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
Events through Sunday, March 16th

WILL PAULUS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Burlington, Wis, has been selected the SCAC Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, March 16th.

Paulus led the Tigers at the Country Inn and Suites Islanders Open at Dugan Stadium hosted by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as they were the only Division III team in competition this past weekend.

Paulus turned in a personal best time of 50.40 seconds in the 400 meter dash at the Islander Open, then also raced to the finish in 23.26 seconds in the 200 meter dash to lead the Tiger men’s track & field team.

 

SCAC FIELD ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

STEVEN MASON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Pearland, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, March 9th.

Mason led the Tigers at the Country Inn and Suites Islanders Open at Dugan Stadium hosted by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as they were the only Division III team in competition this past weekend.

Mason threw 10.94 meters in the shot put, and 39.02 meters in the javelin throw at the Islander Open over the weekend.
